AI has its place, and it’s already transforming how we live and work,
whether we embrace it or not. That said, using AI to create handmade,
creative kits wouldn’t sit right with me.

So here’s how I use AI in my work:

AI is never used during the design process. Every pattern is
designed on my tablet in Procreate, then stitched by hand to make sure it also
looks good on canvas. Each colour is chosen to match what I imagine, often
switched midways if needed. It’s a slow process, but it is what makes the final
pattern look exactly like I want it to.

AI comes in after the creative work is done using it as a
practical tool:

• converting finished designs into clean patterns
• proofreading and refining written descriptions
• helping solve operational challenges (like sourcing suppliers or exploring promotional ideas)

It’s very important to me to create products with a low environmental impact. That’s why you won’t find an elaborate unboxing experience here (even though I agree that they are very satisfying). I aim to use as little plastic as possible, keep packaging simple, and work with local providers whenever I can. Every decision is a balance between practicality, cost, availability, and environmental impact.
